Shipping goods is a serious business

All right. The stranded ship has nothing to do with it. It has nothing to do with it.
It's just an accident that could happen anytime, with any shipping company, freight forwarder, or broker.
But let's see why shipping goods by sea is a complex operation.
The problems
A maritime shipment is a complex operation that takes place on multiple levels, requiring a variety of skills: knowledge of the international customs clearance procedures of various countries, legal expertise (each country has a different regulatory and sanctioning system), procedural and authorization skills.
Our goal, by combining all these skills, the fruit of our experience and continuous training, is to provide the best possible transportation.

The Solutions
Even choosing the most suitable "technical" solutions isn't a simple task. It's possible to import goods by sea even when purchasing small quantities. A cargo volume of just one cubic meter can be shipped via a container shared with other importers in the same situation.
Clearly, there are cost and procedural considerations that must be made carefully and expertly.
How and what we ship
A “Break Bulk” shipment is essentially goods shipped in a unitized form but not in standard shipping containers (e.g. palletized, in bales, in drums, in crates, or large machinery or vehicles).
Loading/unloading operations must therefore be carried out using traditional cranes, excluding the use of pumps, augers, etc.

FCL stands for “Full Container Load.” It is an international ISO standard and involves shipping an entire 20- or 40-foot container.
Advantages
Shipping a full container of goods guarantees the cheapest possible price (per cubic meter of imported goods)
In this case it is possible to optimize the packaging and arrangement of the goods in order to make the most of the container space.
This is a relatively safe and fast method as it is not necessary to share the container with third-party goods.
Disadvantages
If you intend to import goods less than 15-20 cubic meters (i.e., the volume required to fill at least a 50-70% 20-foot container), renting an entire container may not be economically viable. In this case, it may be worth sharing a container with other importers in the same situation.
LCL stands for “Less than Container Load,” and in Italian it is also called “groupage.” This is also an international ISO standard, with the difference that the container will be shared by multiple importers intending to ship their goods to the same port of destination.
This shipping method may be of interest in cases where the volume of goods to be transported is less than the 50-70% of a 20-foot container.
Advantages
It offers an excellent compromise if the quantity of goods to be imported is too large to be shipped by air but insufficient to justify the price of renting a full container (FCL)
Disadvantages
The price per cubic meter of imported goods may be higher than that of an FCL shipment. If you're filling at least half a container, FCL shipping may be preferable, but these considerations should be made on a case-by-case basis.
We ship worldwide using 20-foot and 40-foot refrigerated containers operated by specialized teams, in full compliance with national and international regulations.
Controls
Cleaning to eliminate dirt and odors.
Checks to ensure that the interior of the container is suitable for the specifications of the product category that will be stored inside (such as food).
Checks to ensure that machinery is operating to predefined standards.
Ensuring that the container reaches the necessary temperatures correctly in relation to the goods it will contain.
Once the inspections are complete, the date, time, and name of the person who completed the inspection are documented on a label affixed to the container. This means you'll always receive clean, healthy, and safe containers with temperature-controlled equipment in perfect condition.
A load is considered "oversized" if it exceeds the standard dimensions. Alternatively, it may fit within the dimensions of a standard container, but may be so large or heavy that special equipment is required to handle its size and weight.
Through several decades of experience, we have developed a strong expertise in this type of transport.
We offer a wide range of flat racks and manage special transports with specialist teams worldwide, providing a first-class, out-of-gauge service wherever and whenever you need it.
